Summary
The undermanned Otago Nuggets are back on the winners list after producing a stunning upset win over the Wellington Saints.
Starting out strong, the Nuggets put 30 points on the board and played strong defence in the first quarter forcing the opposition into multiple turnovers. Harris started out strong with 11 points in the term.
The Nuggets continued to fire in the second, with Todd Withers finding his stroke and Jack Andrew providing some strong minutes off the bench in the quarter.
In a dominant third quarter the Nuggets put their foot down, piling on 27 points while holding the Saints to just 16. The fourth quarter belonged to Todd Withers, who was unbelievably clutch with 14 points including four threes.
Michael Harris was dominant finishing up with 33 points, including 6 3PM, and 8 rebounds.
Todd Withers was a flame thrower, with 27 points including an incredible 14 in the fourth including four threes dampening any hope of a Saints comeback.
Jack Andrew provided strong minutes off of the bench, with 13 points and 6 rebounds including 3 offensive boards to help the Nuggets secure important second chance points.
