Summary

On home court and on the back of a difficult loss, Tuatara came out of the gate motivated and there was very little the leagues best defence could do to stop them.

Led by a sharp shooting Jarrad Weeks, the opposition got out to an early nine-point lead.

While Otago fought back and managed to chip into the lead throughout, a late Auckland run so them go into the half time break down nine.

The third quarter was much of the same with both teams trading buckets, before a late Otago run saw the lead cut to just six, outscoring the home team in the term.

The late burst gave the Nuggets some hope, and they came out with a spark in the fourth quarter.

After being down by as much as 12 points throughout the game, the Nuggets outscored the Tuatara by 10 points in the fourth quarter to overrun the home team and get the win.

The oppositions Jarrad Weeks was the named player of the game, with 35 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists.

Michael Harris backed up his game last week with another strong showing, coming in clutch again sinking the three that confirmed the win for Otago.

Todd Withers continued his strong form with 22 points, including six threes.

Player Focus

The floor general, JaQuori McLaughlin, was outstanding with 20 points and nine assists.
