MATEHAERE SIGNS 2 YEAR CONTRACT

Night n’ Day Otago Nuggets Head Coach, Brent Matehaere, has re-signed for another 2 years. Matehaere has had a successful career to date, leading the team to two National Championship titles in his three years as Head Coach.

“Committing to the Nuggets for the next two years was simple . . . we’re here to build the best franchise in the country and there’s work to be done! Looking forward to the challenges that will come and the fun to be had” Matehaere said.

Otago Nuggets GM Angela Ruske is pleased to have Matehaere confirmed for another 2 seasons. “Brent adds a lot of value to our team, both on and off the court, and it’s great to have his passion and expertise locked in for another two years”

The Nuggets kick off their 2023 season at home against the Manawatu Jets on Sunday, 9th of April at 4pm. Tickets go on sale early February.
